I want to give praise and honour to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He bore our sins in his body and gave us a new life. Our lives are simply no more than that of insects and animals if we dare to live them without him. He gives us life, and he rewrites the story of our lives in ways we never even dreamt were possible. Indeed I say, all hail to the King of kings, the Alpha and omega, the one who was and who is to come, the omnipotent God, who sits in unapproachable light, who will remain after all things have passed away. He is the I Am, who made the heaven and earth, he existed before all things, he sits on the throne forever and ever! The whole host of heaven worship Him day and night and his kingdom will never end. Who can say he saw his face and lived? For he is clothed in dazzling glory, who can dare look upon his face, who can stand before him? There are gods on the earth, but these gods can be carried and placed on tables and cars, but who can dare put the Lord anywhere, because even the heaven cannot contain him. He deserves all the glory and honour and blessing. There is no one like him, he stands on his own, no one in his league, he shares his glory with no-one. He alone is worthy, he alone deserves our praise. Our God and Saviour and our life! Amen.
