- Answer : The lord was talking about the day of judgment here. A day when every man's work, righteousness, service, commitment and handiwork shall speak for him, either in his favour or otherwise before God and/or be make known on the day of judgement.
A day where every hidden, secret and within of a man shall be unravel, examine when he shall face the lord on the day of judgement.
Therefore, I want to employ you all to build your salvation foundation a solid rock and run the race without looking back, without any form of secrecy or sin within or behind close doors-Because on the day of judgment everything done in the dark, behind close door shall be made open, reveal, examine for each to be judge according to his handiwork. And,but if, ye are found unworthy ye shall be throw into the lake of eternal suffering and condemnation
1 corith 3:15

And if, indeed ye had done well ye shall be call to the kingdom of God. But if ye handiwork, righteousness, service unto God and everything done in the open/secret are/is found unworthy/guilty after goinf through the fire ye shall suffer the lost of your soul along with your unworthy service/righteousness. But ye are tested even, in the fire and found worthy ye shall escape or be spare through and from the flame s of FIRE or eternal condemnation.
Therefore, I once again, want to employ us all let's build our salvation on the solid rock and be wholly committed, righteous unto God even in the secret, open and behind closed doors.

For every deed of man either good or bad shall be made known to all so that his work may either speak against him or on in his favour before man and God
